ABOUT SOUNDS OF THE MOUNTAINS
ON AIR NOW – LISTEN LIVE
When visiting the South West Slopes and Riverina Highlands around the Snowy Valleys and Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Councils in New South Wales, there’s only one broadcaster the locals trust 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Sounds of the Mountains has been the Number 1 choice for over 15 years for local voices, entertainment, information, news and all things local and we’re the local emergency broadcaster for floods, bushfires, severe storm warnings and other emergencies. We are also the local choice for snow infor-mation during the winter months this side of the mountains including road reports, snow reports and when chains are required.
We do this through the snow season 7 days a week and emergency broadcasts whatever they may be happen all year round. We’re with you wherever you are 24/7 because that’s local radio and that’s what we do!
We have four transmitters broadcasting throughout the region: Tumut and surrounds including the Snowy Mountains on FM96.3 Gundagai and surrounds on FM94.3, Talbingo and district on FM94.3, Batlow and district on FM96.3, Adelong and district FM94.1 and Cabramurra on FM96.3. These frequencies overlap, so change the dial around wherever you might be, you’re sure to find us some-where on your FM band throughout the region on your FM radio. We are also heard throughout the Upper Murray re-gion 7 day a week via Radio Upper Murray
